Day 2
Meaning behind your blog name
Meet the Fehrmanns :)

10 months ago, the deal was sealed.
My sister, Christy married her best friend, Matt.
So Christy, one of my best friends and older sister married Matt.
Here's a fun photo of Christy and I at our best.
Yes - we LOVE Krispy Kreme!
And now we've got Matt in the picture.
Here's Matt at his best.
He's such a fun guy and incredible on the guitar!

This Christmas was their first one spent together as a married couple.
Don't they look amazing?! :)

Both my sisters, bro-in-laws, 5 month old nephew Caden, and my handsome boyfriend all came in town and spent Christmas with my Mama and I.
It was quite lovely!
And just in case you were wondering....
We had a blast! :)
Here's a few photos to prove it.

Matt, Christy, Andrew, & I
This was our little adventure after a foot of snow was dumped right in our back yard. :)

And we did a little Wii "Just Dance".
Here's the sisters and bro-in-laws working hard. :)

Did I mention that Santa showed up this year?
In baby form of course :)

Santa baby prefers Hershey's Special Dark over milk and cookies :)

Santa, Mommy & Daddy.
Quite the snazzy little fam :)

And here's one of my favorites.
My lovely sisters and I - (Jenn on my right and Christy on my left)

Did I tell you we surprised Cindy (Mom) with a new laptop?!!!
Oh boy...that was definitely the highlight of Christmas this year :)
She was in shock.
Here's a little proof of that....

Here's Grandma Cindy with baby Caden :)
They make a lovely pair!

And lastly, Aunt Steph & Caden.
I'm in love with this little boy!!!!

So Christmas 2010 was AMAZING to say the least!
My story began with the Fehrmanns and I promise you this story will be ending with them.
Day two of my blog challenge is to tell all you "fans" (haha) why I named my blog "A Quintessential Life".
Being the journalist that I am and really just being that I'm Steph, I can tend to make things complex at times when simplicity is probably more necessary.
I like to describe things at times in ways that take longer or require more digging into the English vernacular.
See what I mean? :)
So I have this weird thing where I have favorite words. And sometimes I overuse them or I throw strange words into everyday conversation just for the sake of changing things up and throwing people for a loop.
Matt & Christy (the Fehrmanns) always laugh at me.
And more specifically, they laugh at my odd obsession or love for the word "quintessential".
I know you're dying to look it up, so I'll just save you the research.
So I thought, what a better title than to throw in my favorite word and call it a day.
This, my friends was a quintessential blog and one of my most enjoyable to write.
Keep checking in with me.
You never know what I'll have up my sleeve.
Toodles!
-Steph
